Our Mission

As an Engine for Black Business Growth, The Presidents’ Council Supports, Develops, and Champions for our region’s current and future generations of Black entrepreneurs and leaders for sustainable wealth creation through Business Development + Entrepreneurial Support, Ecosystem Building (organizing & mobilizing), Championing + Thought Leadership, and Capital Formation + Investmentsaffecting influence and accountability at ALL levels that directly impact Black-owned businesses and the communities we serve.

More than providing financial scholarships to high schoolers, our PC Scholars program provides the resources and support needed to not only get our students and their families TO college, but THROUGH college as well.

Our History

The Presidents’ Council began in 1996 as The Presidents’ Council Investor’s Group (PCLLC), an organization tasked to provide leadership, innovative ideas and resources to advance Black businesses, thus contributing to the overall growth and economic development in Cleveland and Northeast Ohio.

Since inception, The Presidents’ Council has expanded to include:

The PresidentS’ Council Foundation (PCF)

A nonprofit 501(c)(3), created in 2000 to realize our civic and community initiatives.

The PresidentS’ Council Business Chamber (PCBC)

Northeast Ohio’s primary Black business chamber launched in 2015 to create an environment to develop and nurture MBE relationships for wealth creation and sustainability.

The Presidents’ Council Political Action Committee (PCPAC)

A Political Action Committee formalized in 2017 to put dollars behind issues and political candidates that directly impact Black businesses and the communities we serve.
