Michael Eric Dyson Preshow Reception and Lecture

In partnership with the Cuyahoga County Public Library, the Presidents’ Council presents Michael Eric Dyson, award-winning author. On Monday, June 5th Michael Eric Dyson will deliver a public lecture at the Parma-Snow Library Branch, discussing his book, Tears We Cannot Stop: A Sermon to White America. The Presidents’ Council is the sponsoring organization for this event and will host a private pre-show reception with our members and invited guests of the library prior to Mr. Dyson’s lecture from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served. There are a limited number of seats available for this reception. Tickets are open to PCBC Members and supporters at a price of $50 on a first come, first served basis.

Michael Eric Dyson is one of America’s premier public intellectuals. He occupies the distinguished position of University Professor of Sociology at Georgetown University, is a contributing opinion writer for the New York Times, and is a contributing editor of The New Republic and ESPN’s The Undefeated. His latest book, Tears We Cannot Stop: A Sermon to White America addresses the current and long-burning crisis in race relations and delivers Dyson’s provocative and deeply personal call for change.
