How did you get into this field?
It’s a family business that I took and revolutionized by bringing it up-to-date.
What is your favorite part about your job?
I love the financial freedom and flexibility entrepreneurship has provided me. I also love the process of creating custom pieces for my customers and that I’m trusted to to make something memorable and personal.
What is the most challenging part about your job?
As a jeweler, I aim to please my clients! By ensuring that I understand their vision and am able to bring it to life. It is the most challenging but also one of the most rewarding part about my job. It’s my pleasure to create timeless pieces for my client’s special occasions.
Why did you decide to become a PCBC member?
I was referred to this program by fellow professional whom I greatly respect.
What challenges do you face as an African American business professional?
As an African American business woman one of the biggest challenges I’ve faced has been the lack of funding opportunities outside of self-funding and sales as I continue to grow. As far as the fine jewelry industry, it’s been difficult breaking into — It’s rare to see a black woman jeweler.
What are your goals for your business and how do you see PC being part of that process?
My main focus is to scale my business!
