Todd Federman is the Managing Director of North Coast Ventures. North Coast has over 250 individual angel investors that pool their capital to invest in high-potential, B2B, SaaS startups. North Coast includes six funds and has closed $60M+ of capital in 50+ early-stage companies since 2007. Prior to joining North Coast, Todd served as a technology strategy consultant for DiamondCluster and AOL, and launched a consumer packaged goods company, One With Nature. Todd holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Kent State University and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
President, Young Explorers Schools
William R. Scott Jr. is currently the Co-Founder & CEO of Young Explorers Montessori which he started with his wife, Rita Scott, in 2002. Young Explorers is a Montessori Preschool founded on the principles of giving children a place where they can be free to develop their inner curiosity and confidence to face life’s challenges with excitement. Currently, there are four schools in Young Explorers community of schools: Aurora, Streetsboro, Twinsburg & Avon. Each with an average enrollment of 250 to 325 students. He has the main responsibilities of property acquisition & development, banker/investor relationships, financial performance, accounting functions and franchise development.
Looking at Will & Rita’s track record; you may say that they are “serial entrepreneurs”. Their first venture was in 1995 with the start of Aurora Technology Group, Inc. A software development company with clients such as U.S. Angus Association and Key Bank. They later started Elijah & Isaiah Mgmt. LLC in 2000 as a real estate company that bought & rented residential real estate. It then transitioned into commercial real estate development & NNN cash flow investing. They also started Lesson Box LLC in 2006; a repository for Montessori lessons. Then, in 2011, they became authors with the self-publishing of “From Mom & Pop to Millionaire” book. Wanting to assist couples in making the transition from the corporate world to financial independence; they wrote the books as a primer on how escape the “rat race”.
Previously, he spent 20+ years as a sales professional in the computer technology field. After graduating college he worked as a salesman for companies like Xerox and Hewlett-Packard where he sharpened his sales skills and learned how computer systems impacted a business’ bottom line. He then ascended to Director of Sales for Kronos before making his transition to be an entrepreneur.
Will Scott is a Cleveland native graduating from Benedictine High School. Attended Baldwin-Wallace University where he graduated with a B.A. in Business/Psychology in 1986 and an MBA in Systems Management in 1991.
Currently living in Aurora, Ohio with his wife of 29 years. They have two sons: Anthony and Michael. He is active in his community where he has coached youth football, basketball & baseball for over 10 years. He enjoys fly fishing, skeet/trap shooting and traveling.
